Indian Premier League franchises, Rajasthan Royals and Kings X1 Punjab, on Monday filed separate affidavits in the Bombay High Court affirming they had complied with the condition of furnishing bank guarantees to the Cricket Board.
The court had set a deadline of 3 January for the two teams to furnish guarantees of $10.63 million (Rs.47.52 crore today) and $21.5 million, respectively.
“We have completely complied by the court orders and have submitted the entire amount,” said Raghu Iyer, chief marketing officer of Rajasthan Royals.
In a related development, a person associated with Kings XI said: “Emirates, the title sponsors, and Reebok, the official apparel sponsors, and Wrigley’s have confirmed the sponsorship for Kings XI.”
