David Warner blasts sizzling century, Delhi virtually seal playoff berth

David Warner Celebrates His Century
The most 'versatile' bowling attack in IPL 5 was taken to the cleaners by the Hyderabad duo of Shikhar Dhawan and Cameron White but Delhi responded magnificently to the challenge with their men of the hour coming in the form of a pint-sized dynamo called David Warner (109 no, 54b, 10x4, 7x6) and Naman Ojha (64 no, 46b, 2x4, 5x6).

With a very challenging 188 to get in their return leg match at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Thursday, Delhi's best bet was skipper Virender Sehwag.

But his early dismissal brought Warner into focus in their domineering nine-wicket win as the Australian revelled under lights with an innings as good as any as Delhi totalled 193 for one in 16.4 overs after Hyderabad, sans Dale Steyn (nursing a niggle), batted first.

Live Scores India vs West Indies, 2nd Test match: Laxman slams 17th Test ton

India on Tuesday November 15 has gathered a mammoth 631 before declaring its first innings for the loss of seven wickets on the second day of second test match against West Indies. At stumps, West Indies was struggling at 34/2. The last hour of the second day was called off due to bad light. Prior to that, India's new comers Umesh Yadav and Ravichandran Ashwin bagged a wicket each to put West Indies on the backfoot.
Earlier, India's batting fiesta continued on day 2 with VVS Laxman first completing his 17th test century, and continuing his dominance with the bat to remain unbeaten on 176. He shared a 224-run partnership with captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni who scored a quickfire 144. But Dhoni was lucky to score his century as he twice escaped getting caught behind in three overs, when Cameroon Roche overstepped the ball on both occasions. After that, Dhoni played some magnificent strokes to entertain the sparse crowd at Eden Garden. The poor attendance continued on day 2, with only a few hundred spectators flocking the stadium.

Twenty20: India vs England(Ind v Eng) T20 Squads, Live Score, Oct 29 2011

India and England are going to face for the one and the only T20 match later today.
MS Dhoni and Co. will take on reigning T2O Champions England in a one-off T20 on Saturday at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. England, seeking their first win on the disastrous tour, will be hoping to end the tour on a high.
Pietersen's fate depends on the results of a fitness test conducted on Friday and his absence would deplete England's strength to a great extent as he is their best bet against spin.
Offie Graeme Swann, who would lead the side in the absence of injured regular T20 skipper Stuart Broad, has to deliver the goods in bowling alongside his left-arm spin partner Samit Patel in what is likely to be another slow surface, like the one seen on Tuesday.
Uthappa said a win in the Twenty20 match after the 5-0 whitewash of England in the ODI would be like the proverbial icing on the cake.
But he cautioned that England, the world's No.1 Twenty20 side, have the ability to bounce back. 'They will definitely want to come back hard at us and finish the tour with a win.

Three wickets in the form of Ingram, AB de Villiers and JP Duminy made it more difficult for the hosts, but South Africa were dealt their biggest blow when Munaf castled Smith in the 33rd over leaving the visitors at 152 for five. Munaf and Zaheer soon made it 163 for seven. And if those blows were not enough, Dale Steyn ran himself out with South Africa just 14 runs away from victory. Morne Morkel offered a lolly to substitute Yusuf Pathan off Munaf, before the unassuming seamer drove the final nail in South Africa's coffin.
India lost four wickets for 14 runs in the third powerplay, after managing 54 in the first two.

The left-arm pacer worked his magic after Yuvraj Singh (53 off 68 balls) and Mahendra Singh Dhoni (38 off 61) revived India's innings with a 83-run fourth-wicket stand.

Tsotsobe took the wickets of Murali Vijay, Yuvraj, Dhoni and Suresh Raina.

Jacques Kallis hit his second century of the match to put South Africa on top on the fourth day of the series-deciding third and final Test against India at Newlands on Wednesday. He made 109 not out as South Africa recovered from a precarious 130 for six to be all out for 341 off the last ball of the day - leaving India with the near impossible task of scoring 340 to win on a wearing pitch on which uneven bounce could make batting difficult on the final day. The innings took Kallis into second place on the all-time list of Test centurions. It was his 40th hundred, one more than Ricky Ponting of Australia and 11 fewer than India's Sachin Tendulkar. Off-spinner Harbhajan Singh had took the last two wickets to finish with seven for 120. Full  Score Board
